The Burren Smokehouse is located just off the Wild Atlantic Way, and according to our visitors, well worth the visit. We offer a mini food trail which comprises of smoked salmon tastings, the showing of our smoking process, and an interactive journey through time following the legendary Salmon of Knowledge. The mini food trail continues with the Roadside Tavern and great food and live music. The Burren Brewery inside the Roadside Tavern provides the craft beers for the pub and the Burren Storehouse next door. You can book Burren Brewery craft beer tastings and a tour of the brewery.

Raw oysters on the half-shell are delicious, but shucking them can be difficult. Grilled oysters are easier to open and take on a nice smoky taste.

An award-winning food writer and cookbook author, Molly Watson has created more than 1,000 recipes focused on local, seasonal ingredients. Southern-cuisine expert and cookbook author Diana Rattray has created more than 5,000 recipes and articles in her 20 years as a food writer. 2,000 calories a day is used for general nutrition advice.
