No bake vegan donuts

I’ve been obsessing over raw vegan donuts for years now so I finally decided to share my recipe. I’ll post other flavours eventually, but I’ll start with my favourite : raw chocolate donuts with vanilla cashew icing. This is a no bake dessert recipe, it’s very quick to make (and eat lol). Enjoy!

Raw vegan donuts

  • 5tbsp water
  • 7tbsp agave or maple syrup
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 medjool dates
  • 1/4c almond butter
  • 1c almond flour
  • 3 scoops protein powder (I use Sunwarrior or Genuine Health natural flavour
  • 1/2c raw cacao powder

Instructions

  1. Combine water, agave, vanilla, dates & almond butter in a blender and purée until smooth.
  2. Mix almond flour, protein powder & raw cacao powder in a big bowl
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients together and form a big ball with your hands
  4. Place the ball between 2 teflex sheets (or wax paper) & flatten with a roller
  5. Cut donuts using round cookie cutters
  6. smooth the edges with your fingers if you’re as OCD as me :p (optional)
  7. Set in freezer while you make the icing (this will allow the icing to set faster)

Vanilla cashew icing

  • 5tbsp water
  • 1/2c soaked raw cashews
  • 1/4c agave or maple syrup
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4c liquefied coconut oil (sorry I forgot to film this ingredient in my video oops!)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except coconut oil in a blender and blend until smooth
  2. Incorporate liquefied coconut oil and blend until smooth
  3. Pour over the donuts
  4. Set in freezer for about half an hour (until it hardens)

Chocolate sauce

  • 1/4c raw cacao powder
  • 1/4c agave
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 2tbsp liquefied cacao butter
  • 1tbsp liquefied coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Mix raw cacao powder, agave & vanilla together in a cup
  2. Incorporate liquefied cacao butter & coconut oil and mix until smooth
  3. Pour over donuts
  4. Set in fridge or freezer until it hardens
  5. Top with edible flowers to show off on Instagram :p
