It tasted great and we couldn’t tell any difference from the regular smoked sausage. If you are worried about this being spicy, you can certainly reduce the amount of cajun seasoning. I added onion and red and green bell pepper and used Slap Ya Mama Cajun seasoning- From SETX. I’ve made it quite often and my 14 yr old Grandson loves it,too. I dbl the recipe for leftovers. The only thing I do differently is I use Old Bay seasoning and smoked and andouille sausage. I have made this twice now and it is so delicious. Used venison bologna ring, omitted the Cajun because the venison is peppery enough!

Is there a substitute for heavy cream? Made this tonight with Trader Joe’s andouille sausage. Tastes really good, although I nearly quadrupled the amount of the seasoning!
If youre like me and love strong flavor and spice, I definitely recommend giving it another hearty spoonful or two of the seasoning. This recipe is so easy to make yet it looks and tasted like it took hours to prepare. The Cajun seasoning recipe is wonderful. I can’t wait to try pork chops! This is our new favorite recipe. So easy and delicious at that. I double the sauce recipe to match with a whole box of pasta and it is just so yummy.
